DIRECT MIGRANT SERVICES
Medical
Nurse/EMT, Pancho, along with our Migrant Services Team, coordinates and provides free medical care and necessary transportation to those who would otherwise not have access.

Support
We provide safe, comfortable housing in apartments, food, clothing, and daily necessities primarily for women and children in Nogales, Sonora awaiting their CBP One appointments to request asylum into the US.
Throughout 2023, we housed 93 families which included 103 women, 122 children, and 1 man. It is common for stays to be between 2 - 4 months. We also help support migrating families that stay at a nearby shelter accommodating 70+ people.

Resources
For those asylum seekers who are allowed entry into the US and with whom we've established relationships in Nogales, Sonora, Voices helps provide and locate resources necessary for survival.
CREATIVE ACTIVISM
Awareness
In the second branch of our mission on the US side of the border, we strive to change the narrative about migration by building awareness and deepening understanding through shared stories from "our families" in Nogales, Sonora, providing accurate information and credibly-sourced journalism.

Artistic Events
Using the arts as a vehicle for creative activism, we organize events that create a more holistic and empathic understanding about the lived experience of migration and the effects of immigration policies on human lives. See our portfolio here.

Using our social media platforms, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, we seek to reach a wider US audience and create a more compassionate and informed society.
