
When Donald Trump was elected and mass deportation became imminent, one of our colleagues started receiving questions about how they could help vulnerable individuals and families in their communities. This document presents online resources organized into “committees” that can be shared and used as a template for grassroots organizing in your community.
By publishing this, we hope to encourage folks to step up for vulnerable community members and mixed-status families. WE are their voice. In fact, in many communities, local support may be their only recourse. Local support networks can make a difference and may be the only thing that does.
This document aims to help streamline the process of organizing for individuals and families at risk and offering tangible support. One need not take all of the suggested actions or organize all the suggested committees to make a very real difference. Find your community’s specific and most critical needs within the document.
